The character of Liam Kosta will provide a lot of comic relief as the Mass Effect: Andromeda storyline unfolds, and his loyalty mission reflects this by containing plenty of funny dialogue and humorous moments. For example, Kosta leads the squad to a door saying “This way”, only for the door to open and reveal a large turret. Kosta quickly closes the door, gives a nonchalant “Not that way” as the squad continues in another direction. While such moments are good for laughs, Creative Director Mac Walters ensures fans that Andromeda contains plenty of very serious moments, too.

Interested gamers who want to take an in-depth look at Liam Kosta’s loyalty mission can do so below. While the sourced video doesn’t spell the name of the game correctly, the footage it contains speaks for itself.

Spoiler Alert: The dialogue in this video does reveal elements of the game’s storyline.

The video above gives a thorough look at the all-new dialogue system, where the series-staple Paragon and Renegade options have now been retired. In their stead is a new tonal system, which gives players more options in how they want Ryder to communicate. The video also shows off some mid-mission scanning, which gives players information about the Milky Way, Helius Cluster, and the Remnant technology.

Loyalty missions in Mass Effect: Andromeda occur in a similar fashion as they did in the previous titles: At a certain point, squad members will approach Ryder with an optional mission. In Liam’s case, this mission involves Ryder and company hiding in debris to be scavenged, although instead of space pirates they end up being picked up by a bunch of hostile Kett aliens. The video does cut off before major spoilers ensue near the end of the mission, though those looking for a truly blind playthrough should simply avoid the above video for the time being.
