Where to Find the Soul Gems in Life is Strange: True Colors
Soul Gem 1
The first gem is found in the Black Lantern/Gullweather’s Tavern. Alex and Ethan are greeted by a bloody sight and can talk to Duckie behind the bar. Make sure to use Alex’s powers in Life is Strange: True Colors to read his thoughts and choose the option ‘Drinking Behind the Bar?’.
Keep Duckie’s secret, and in return, he will give her a bell that will be important for the second gem. There are a few places the duo can search for the first gem, but it is actually located in the Music Box with the ornate dragon behind the bar.
Soul Gem 2
The second gem is on sale at the record store/Magpie Emporium, but Alex and Ethan will first have to defeat the ‘snake.’ It is located at the end of the alleyway next to the Silver Dragon Dispensary. To make the encounter quick and easy, use the bell that Duckie gave Alex at the tavern.
Pick up the fish scale that Ryan drops and head to the record store. Players can flirt here if they want to romance Steph in Life is Strange: True Colors. Look at the wares on Steph’s table and choose the Soul Gem at the top right. Alex can now exchange the fish scale to purchase it.
Soul Gem 3
After getting the second gem from Steph, leave the store and go to the Bridge of Flowers, just past the Flower Shop. Alex and Ethan will encounter Ryan dressed as a troll, who has the final Soul Gem. He can be bested by bribing him with four coins, using Troll Dust purchased from Steph, or fighting him. There are bonus dialogue options if players want to experience an extra conversation while romancing Ryan in Life is Strange: True Colors.
Now that Alex and Ethan have all 3 Soul Gems, they can head back to the park or do some extra exploring if players want to find all of the collectible Memory locations in Chapter 3.
Life is Strange: True Colors is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and will release later for Switch.
